Comprehensive in-person design, purchasing, and project management for home renovations working alongside trades.

Comprehensive in-person design, purchasing, and project management for home renovations for selective areas

DESIGNER FOR THE DAY

One time in-home consultation / design lasting usually from 4-6 hours based on an agreed scope

PROJECT INITIATION

  • Home - overview:

  • Goals, vision and style

  • Home Analysis and Feasibility Study:

    •  Basic zone and code check with the city and county

    • Detailed site measurements and photographs

    • Create existing house and site drawings

    •  Feasibility review with Client

    •  Create client ideas collection - Houzz, Instagram, etc.

DESIGN DEVELOPEMENT

  • Provide plans and 3D renders for (2) design options

  • (2) design iterations & reviews including a final sign off with Client

  • Detailed code check incorporated into the design

  • Preliminary exterior and interior finishes matrix creation

  • Pricing set creation & distribution to contractors (2+)

  • Assist Client in contractor pricing negotiations

  • Provide Contractor selection assistance

2.

EXTERIOR + INTERIOR SELECTIONS | FINISHES

  • Interior Design meeting to discuss material/finishes palette

  • Visit stores for material selection

  • Finalize interior and exterior finishes

  • Outline materials and finish specifications

  • Materials and finishes sign off meeting(s) with Client

  • Assist Client in contractor pricing negotiations

  • Select General Contractor for the project

CONSTRUCTION PHASE | SITE VISIT

  • Conduct construction meetings with Client and Contractor

  • Site visit and walk through at key construction milestones

  • Provide project coordination; including all clarifications requested by Client

  • Conduct final walk through (punch list) Example of Milestone Reviews:

    • 1: Pre-con meeting - demo day site meeting with Client + GC

    • 2: Framing site visit - when the walls will be framed

    • 3: Electrical rough-in/site visit - verify required electrical outlets + lights, etc.

    • 4: Cabinetry framing visit
